Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in the month of January in 1974. The most famous role she has played is Bo in Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was a native of Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, who was an actor as well as a producer, director, playwright, educator and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna has some of her most fond memories of watching TV and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk made several commercials while she was still a child. She earned her Bachelor of Arts was conferred by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk relocated out of Toronto in the year 1999 to Los Angeles in the years following 1999. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an Actors Workshop in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple was wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. They renewed their vows on the 10th of April in Fredericton at an Jewish wedding ceremony, after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman's birth took place May of 2013, and her son was who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk revealed to her followers that she was pregnant in January 2013 during a Showcase Season Three Special. Silk confirmed via Twitter on June 20th that the series was returning to production. Season Four debuted on June 4th 2013 by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk has a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its popularity.
